Welcome to the first Tech Writers Challenge. Here it goes:
Pick a technically advanced concept and write the simplest explanation you can in 200 words or less.
To participate in the challenge, share your explanation on Notes, Twitter, Mastodon, Bluesky, and/or any other social media, using the #TechWritersChallenge hashtag.
Paste the link here, and make sure to check and share everyone else's submissions!
I'm going to share a creative explanation and later will add the "simple" one :) It's a amazing challenge!
AI - A field in which science merges with imagination, in which the limit of human capabilities is broken, in which vision, genius, knowledge, the desire to align with the divine unite and produce a synergy unknown to this day. A realm that opens the door to the future, a realm that looks into the future, a realm as unwieldy as a wild mustang, a realm where fantasy and reality collide at the speed of light. A sphere that is two-faced like Janus. If artificial intelligence were a work, it would be Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy
#TechWritersChallenge The simple one: "Artificial intelligence is like copying how humans think. It’s a kind of computer magic. We want to make machines that can act like humans. This means that machines can learn from what they do, understand hard things, see patterns, and make choices. It’s like machines have brains like us.
For example, think about chess: we can make a computer that tries all the moves, but there are too many moves in chess, so we use artificial intelligence to teach the computer how to play chess and learn from its mistakes. After a while, computers get better and even beat humans. Artificial intelligence is in many things we use, like talking to our phones or getting suggestions. The main goal is to make smart machines that can help us with our everyday problems."
Space System Dynamics focuses on the system dynamics in space. We observe the movement of systems across orbital paths called trajectories. As we move and become aware of the various cosmos , celestial entities ascribing some dynamic forces interacting with our spacecraft. Astrodynamics consider gravity as the primary force contributor in the vastness of space, which needs to be identified and refined further. To maintain a stable orbit, the spacecraft needs to achieve a specific velocity called orbital velocity. This velocity allows the spacecraft to continuously fall towards the celestial body while also moving forward and away, creating a balanced equilibrium we term, orbit.
Is there a deadline for the entries to be considered?
I guess until weekend so we can feature them in the next issue of the newsletter

Awesome! Now share it 😀
Here's my attempt at explaining P vs NP

I couldn't possibly pass on this challenge for The Tech Writers Stack. So here's my submission, exactly 200 words. I've posted both here and there:
