I particularly like (and agree with) the idea of shorter paragraphs and sentences. I'm getting better at this over time, but for some reason my style pushed back against this for far too long. In recent years, this has become much easier for me to do.
This is something I’m working on as well. I found out that shorter sentences and well formulated compact paragraphs are not only more pleasing to the eye but also easier to grasp.
I also found out that beginning essays with facts like. 50% of Nigerians live in the Northern Part grasp attention.
I try to write everything at the 9th grade or below level. One trick I learned from somwhere was that "Good writing should suprise the author." I think when that happens you've found something authentic to write about.
