Fostering Transparency and Broadening Access: AI for the Benefit of Humanity.
Where would you like to see the draft? I can reply to this but the draft will evolve further.
Full steam ahead!! Its been a good few weeks 30 subscribers and 11 articles in. Shocking replies to using AI generated art in various communities, but definitely helpful feedback and commentary. Starting a holistic community with people to help simplify complexity, in various domains for a more human experience in the age of technology.
I wrote a very long tutorial showing how we can use the function call feature of OpenAI's chat APIs to build plugins similar to ChatGPT. The tutorial takes the reader through building a chat application in Flask using Python and ends with implementation of a web browsing and Python code interpreter plugin integrated into the chat.
Hey folks! I just reached 800 subscribers, and my open rates are as high as ever. I did a cleanup a month ago and unsubscribed more than 100 old readers who had zero interactions, so recovering those 100 was quite a bumpy ride.
Regarding articles, I transcribed a conversation I had with philosophy professor Eldar Sarajlic on his pretty radical ideas to improve data literacy among humanities (https://apiad.substack.com/p/critical-data-literacy).
For next week, I plan to publish another conversation I'm currently working on, this time with Spear of Lugh (https://spearoflugh.substack.com/) on some deeply fascinating topics regarding computability, AI, and the nature of reality :) I'm having a lot of fun in this one.
Happy to announce that Algorithmically Speaking reached 400 subscribers last week!
Also, my last article is an old one from the original Algorithmically Speaking publication. It shows a way to debug your solutions under very tight time constraints using the power of randomization. This one got me a decent cash prize of $450 and opened my eyes to the possibility of actually trying to make a living out of technical writing someday. Not quite there yet, though.
On Tuesday, a gentle introduction to Lisp macros is coming out. I'll be explaining at why this is the most powerful feature a programming language could have :)
Hey gang!
A recent article that I wrote:
https://goatfury.substack.com/p/props-to-giants
An article Iplan to publish next week:
Working with a professional architect to talk through how generative AI is going to change his field over the next ten years or so.
A milestone to celebrate:
I just eclipsed 125 subscribers, just 2 months in! I'm motivated by the momentum.
Thanks!
Hey Everyone,

If you want to share a draft so the community can give you their opinion and maybe even help you with some parts, feel free to open a chat thread 🙂
I have started a thread for collaboration and case studies. I hope you come discuss your thoughts there.
